Through Our Lens: A Visual Look into the Communities of Four Black Canadian Photographers

Through Our Lens is a visual essay series that centres four Black Canadian photographers who have dedicated their agency to capturing the community around them. Their identity, community and passion overlap to create, curate and capture photographs that are instrumental in honouring who they are. Authenticity is their brand, and their images stem from this ancestral foundation. Real eyes realize real truths—and the truth is Black is so much more than what we see on the outside.
